- Northeast Data Corp. today announced the JPEG driver for the popular NED
Image printer driver.
“After
releasing our bitmap driver, the next file format everyone wanted was JPEG.
Now we are offering the JPEG output module as a low-cost add-on for current customers, and we've included it in the
latest version of the printer driver." says Wade Cobb, President of
Northeast Data Corp.
This extension to the
virtual printer driver writes a JPEG file for each page of the printed
document. The exit32.dll provided with earlier versions of the driver, as well as
the current version, produces a mutli-page TIFF file. By replacing this dll with
the JPEG extension dll, JPEG files are produced instead of the TIFF file.
The JPEG driver is available now from
Northeast Data Corp. and it distributors. Purchase price is $69.95. This option is
available to all registered users of the NED printer driver. The JPEG driver is
now included in all current versions of the NED printer driver for the Windows
2000 and XP operating systems.
